Manufacturing Optimization Specialist

At GT Tools, we believe some of the best engineering happens where technology meets the shop floor. Since 1984, we’ve designed, manufactured, and distributed professional automotive and glass repair tools from Durango, Colorado—and we’re continuing to invest in advanced manufacturing, CNC technology, automation, and process improvement.

Now, we’re looking for a part-time Manufacturing Optimization Specialist who is curious, technically minded, and excited to find better ways to make things. This is an ideal opportunity for an engineering student, recent graduate, or early-career engineer looking to turn technical knowledge into real-world manufacturing experience.

You’ll work directly with our manufacturing team on CNC machining, CAD/CAM, 3D printing, manufacturing data, Lean/process improvement, G-code/Python, automation, and other hands-on projects designed to improve quality, efficiency, cost, and capacity.

This isn’t an internship where you’ll watch from the sidelines—it’s an opportunity to solve real problems, see your ideas implemented, and grow your responsibilities as your capabilities develop.
