Using the Basic Windshield Removal Kit properly ensures a safe and damage-free removal process. Follow these steps:

Step 1: Prep the Work Area

1. Ensure the car is parked on a flat surface.
2. Wear protective gloves and safety glasses.
3. Remove windshield wipers and any external trim using the Universal Bolt-On Windshield Wiper Puller.

Step 2: Loosen the Windshield Seal

1. Use the Rubber Gasket Tool with Ball End to carefully loosen the seal around the windshield.
2. Apply light pressure with the Curved Handle Locking Strip Tool to detach the molding.
   

Step 3: Cut Through the Urethane Seal

1. Insert the Medium Handle Cold Knife at the corner of the windshield and carefully pull it along the edges to slice through the adhesive.
2. For extra precision, use the Standard Pull Knife Blades (1", 0.75", and 1.5") as needed.
   

Step 4: Lift the Windshield

1. Place the Super Grip Suction Cups on the glass surface and gently lift the windshield from the frame.
2. If resistance is felt, rework the seal with the Pinchweld Scraper Razor Tool to clear any remaining adhesive.
   

Step 5: Final Cleanup

1. Use the Auto Glass Chisel Stick and Hook/Pick Set to remove any leftover urethane from the frame.
2. Your windshield is now ready for a fresh installation!
