Engineered with simplicity in mind, the SuperStar™ SpeedLock™ is a great introductory kit that utilizes the same stainless steel materials and limited lifetime warranty as our VANISH™ System. Without sacrificing quality the SuperStarTM is one of the easiest injectors to operate.

Do you have any type of adapters to allow use of this tool on near vertical applications, ie, RV, Road Tractors, etc.?
Thanks for your questions. We do have a verticle glass adapter. This allows for the resin to be held toward the glass during the repair. Here is a link to the part:

How much vacuum pressure can I expect with this product?
Hey thanks so much for reaching out to us. The vacuum and pressure capabilities of the SuperStar SpeedLock kit are going to slightly vary depending upon how much resin you are using and where you are at in elevation. However, with our recommended 4-5 drops or resin per repair at sea level, the SuperStar can achiooeve roughly 20 inHg of Vacuum and 31 psi in pressure at the top SpeedLock notch. My plunger moves really tight, is there something is should use for lube or grease somewhere?
Thanks for reaching out. Make sure you are placing a drop of HV resin on the brown plunger seals prior to inserting the plunger into the injector body (a small bottle should be in your kit). That should sufficiently lubricate the plunger and will move smoothly. Also, make sure you are fully cleaning all components with isopropyl alcohol at the end of each day - as the resin dries it can get gummy in the components if not cleaned properly. Is this tool able to do long crack repairs?
Hi, You can use the injector from this kit to perform long crack repairs, but you would need to add the Long Crack Repair Kit [Part# CRSYS] to give you the additional crack jacks, spreaders, and crack repair resin needed to successfully perform long crack repairs.
I just ordered a Speedlock kit. I live in Phoenix Az where winter never arrives and spring lasts about two weeks. The kit item list shows two types or resin. What should I use in the 80 to 110 degree Phoenix environment? Are there different techniques for repair other than in shade?
Hi ,
The 20SYS SpeedLock Kit ships with MV (medium viscosity) resin and PF (high viscosity) Pit filler. The MV resin is ideal for temperatures between 65-85 degrees. The PF Pit filler is used to seal the pit area after you cure the initial repair and can be used in temperatures >65 degrees. For 80 to 100 degree Phoenix heat, I would purchase our HV (High Viscosity) resin [Part# RHVAF-15 or RHVAF-30], which is ideal for temps above 85 degrees. The pit filler in your kit should work fine for these Phoenix temps. If you'd like to do repairs in sunlight, I would protect the repair area with our UV sunshade [Part# SS].
SuperStar™ SpeedLock™ Windshield Repair System
Step 1
Examine the break & prep the glass.
Ideal glass temp should be 35°F to 85°F. Test break stability by applying a small amount of pressure with probe around the break.
Step 2
Clean loose debris with probe point.
If impact point can’t be felt, drill to create an opening. Many breaks will not need to be drilled. Attach mirror to inside of glass.
Step 3
Back out bridge adjusting screws & injector. Place the Bridge & Injector on glass. Ideally injector is below suction cup.
Step 4
Position Injector over center of break. Thread injector down until it makes contact with glass, then add 1–2 additional turns.
Step 5
Use mirror to adjust horizontal alignment, ensuring good seal on the break. Adjust leveling screws until o-ring seal is evenly compressed.
Step 6
Apply HV resin to the brown plunger seals at base of plunger to lubricate.
Step 7
Apply 5 drops of Diamond Clear™ Resin into the injector body. Check GT Tools® Catalog for proper resin choice.
Step 8
If outdoors, place a UV Sunshade (GT Tools® Part #SS) over the repair area.
Step 9
Pull the blue release pin knob on the side of the injector body and insert the plunger into the injector body. Release the pin, twisting until the pin slips into the plunger groove.
Step 10 – Vacuum Cycle
Open air release knob, bottom out plunger, close air release, slowly pull plunger up and twist to lock in vacuum.
Wait 1 minute.
Step 11 – Pressure Cycle
Open and close air release, twist plunger, depress until there is fair resistance, twist plunger to lock into desired pressure slot.
Wait 2 minutes.
Step 12
Alternate between cycles of Step 10 (Vacuum: 1 min) and Step 11 (Pressure: 2 min) until break is completely filled.
Step 13
During final pressure cycle:
Attach UV lamp to glass next to injector tip. Plug in & turn on for curing cycle.
Wait 2 minutes, then move light to opposite side and wait 2 minutes.
Step 14
Open air release, remove suction cup. Apply small bead of Pit Filler (PF) above the pit on glass. Cover bead with Pit Square.
Step 15
Move UV lamp over Pit Square. Turn on for curing cycle.
Wait 3 minutes.
Step 16
Remove UV lamp & Pit Square. Scrape clean razor blade (held perpendicular to glass) back & forth until only a small circle of pit filler remains.
Step 17
Apply small bead of Pit Gloss to the pit. Polish with paper towel or cork until glossy finish is achieved.
Step 18
Clean the glass. Clean ALL injector components with isopropyl alcohol at the end of each day.

Overall very happy with this. I docked a star for all the metal shavings I found inside the injector%2C that is just bad QC. That tool should be pristine when received especially considering the price.

So far, really good!

Nice Little Kit
Quality kit, nice heavy quality feel to the injector parts. Suction cups are nice and strong. Nice case to keep it in. Good stuff. I wish i could have had the option of either a battery/flashlight or 12v plug curing lamp, i probably would have gone with a flashlight type. That's not to say anything is wrong with the 12v lamp, it cures up really fast.
