High Tensile Strength
The "CR" formula is designed with a high-strength chemical bond. This resin provides the extra "grip" needed to hold the glass together and prevent the crack from spreading further.
Perfect Optical Match (Refractive Index)
It is formulated to have the same refractive index as automotive glass. Once the resin is injected and cured, the crack becomes virtually invisible, restoring the driver's line of sight and the aesthetic of the windshield.
Medium-to-Low Viscosity
The resin has a "thin" consistency (viscosity) that allows it to flow effortlessly into the tightest, microscopic parts of a long crack. This ensures that the entire length of the damage is filled without leaving air pockets.
Acrylic Acid-Free
DiamondClear™ CR is acrylic acid-free. This makes it safer for the technician to handle (less skin/respiratory irritation) and prevents the resin from damaging the plastic laminate layer inside the windshield over time.
UV Inhibitors (Non-Yellowing)
Inferior resins often turn yellow or cloudy after a few months of sun exposure. DiamondClear™ CR contains built-in UV inhibitors that block sun damage, ensuring the repair remains crystal clear for the entire life of the windshield.
Nano-Tech Particle Filling
The resin uses Nano-technology, meaning the molecules are small enough to penetrate "micro-cracks" This prevents the crack from re-opening later because it seals the damage at a molecular level.
PVB Bond
Because the CR resin bonds so well to the PVB, it is the ideal choice for "Edge Cracks" (cracks that start from the very edge of the windshield), where the stress on the PVB layer is the highest.
BSI Tested & Approved
This resin has been tested by the British Standard Institute (BSI). This certification ensures it meets strict safety and performance standards, giving technicians and customers peace of mind that the repair is permanent and safe.

2. Ventilation

3. Skin & Eye Contact
* Avoid direct contact with skin and eyes.
* In case of skin contact: Wash immediately with soap and water.

4. Inhalation

Perfect for my unusual need
My need was a bit unusual. I wasn't repairing my windshield, I was filling a crack in a crystal hand-blown sugar bowl. The handle of the bowl had not broken, but there was a long winding crack around it. I wanted preserve the structure of the bowl to prevent the crack from growing, not necessarily to make the crack invisible.
I figured I could improvise and after doing my research, I settled on GT Glass due to the low viscosity of the CR Resin. Since the bowl was curved, I could not use the usual techniques of injecting the resin into the crack and placing a film over it. Instead I used a small silicone spatula to keep pushing the resin over the crack until it seeped in. I worked from inside and outside the bowl and when I was satisfied, I wiped quickly with a cloth to remove the excess and set in the sun to cure for two hours, to be sure.
After washing by hand, I can still see where the crack is but it's almost invisible and filled in nicely. Of course, once it's filled with sugar, the crack is completely invisible.
This is an unusual use of this product, and I don't recommend, but such a low price to repair a one-of-a-kind bowl is, for me, worth it.
(Please note, I do not expect this resin it to be food safe. Since the bowl is holding sugar, will never hold liquid, and is not subject to heat, I have come to my *own personal conclusion* that this is safe FOR ME. You may feel differently.)
